Dua When Hearing Someone Sneeze — Ex. Study

When we hear someone sneeze, it is not just a polite gesture to say “bless you” or “gesundheit,” but we can also make a dua. The Islamic tradition teaches us that when someone sneezes, they need Allah’s mercy and protection. So, it is encouraged to make a dua for them. We can say, “Alhamdulillah” (Praise be to Allah) after someone sneezes and then follow it with “Yarhamuk Allah” (May Allah have mercy on you).
